COVID-19 – Apple Launches Coronavirus Screening App

Yersterday, Apple launched a new COVID-19 screening application. The app is developed in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the White House, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The COVID-19 app has up-to-date information from trusted sources about the coronavirus disease and it gives you access to resources you may need so you can be well informed.

If you are a bit concerned about what you should do about COVID-19, use the simple screening tool. Just answer a few questions about symptoms, travel, and contact you’ve had with those who might have the disease. Then you wil get a specific, recommended action based on the CDC’s current guidelines, such as practicing social distancing or talking to a doctor.

Depending on your symptoms, the app will push you to get in contact with your health provider, contact emergency services or inform you that you likely do not need to be tested, but it will not route you to a testing center directly.
