The fifth annual Blockchain Africa Conference will take place in Johannesburg and Cape Town early next year according to reports. The gathering brings together blockchain experts, innovators, and entrepreneurs to discuss recent developments and challenges in the field.
Blockchain Africa will take place in Johannesburg between February 28 and March 1, and in Cape Town on March 6. Attendees will come together to network and also share their insights on blockchain technology.
Blockchain Africa conference will be focusing on how blockchain can move the continent forward and positively impact various industries and organizations.
At the conference, there will be interactive panel discussions, while expert speakers will look at various use cases by both financial and non-financial institutions, from initial coin offerings (ICOs) to blockchain startups working to ensure transparent and trustworthy elections in Africa.
The Blockchain Africa Conference 2019 has already received backing, with Rand Merchant Bank (RMB) on board as the 1st Gold Sponsor. Early bird tickets are available until September 30.

In the light of recent events, one can proudly say that Blockchain technology is finding its way down to Africa. Just in the past week, a number of blockchain based startups co-hosted the Black blockchain summit which took place at the Howard University in Washington DC.
